CPR is a PRE-Requisite for this course.  All Participants in this course MUST ATTEND the CPR Course to be announced.

Course Description: The Emergency Medical Technician-Enhanced: Virginia Standard Curriculum represents the minimum required information to be presented within a course that leads to a Virginia EMT-Enhanced certification eligibility. All skills and subjects contained in the curriculum for EMT-Enhanced are covered in a minimum of 80 hours of instruction plus a minimum of 48 hours devoted to extensive clinical rotations in specialty units and field internship.   The Virginia EMT-Enhanced is an entry level Advanced Life Support Course designed to instruct the student on various ALS skills to include, Intravenous Therapy, Medication dosage, modes of administration, and delivery to the patient.  The program specializes in the treatment of Shock and certain life threatening medical emergencies.
