When making an emergency plan, special considerations should be made such as knowing who to call to assist you, how you will evacuate and having specialized equipment available or knowing where to obtain it.

Their emergency kits also need special consideration and should include specific items needed depending on need or disability. These items may include medication or medical supplies used on a regular basis, backup supplies for any visual aids you use, backup supplies for any hearing aids you use and battery chargers for battery-operated medical/assistive devices.
