NFA - Incident Safety Officer

Course Description: Examines the Safety Officer’s role at emergency situations. Focus will be on operations within the ICS.

 

Prerequisites: Junior Firefighters must be Firefighter Level I certified.

 

Target Audience: Individuals who have a Safety Officer responsibility at emergency operation situations. Persons attending this course should have a working knowledge of the ICS, as taught by NFA, building construction principles, hazardous materials management, applicable NFPA guidelines, and Federal regulations.

 

DATES/TIMES:        

Thursday, December 9th, 2010 (4hours)

                                      18:30-22:30 hours

  Sunday, December 12th, 2010 (8hours)

                                      09:00-17:00 hours

LOCATION:     F/R Training Center 

                             Basement of EMS 01

                                                (210 Hospital Dr., Warrenton, VA 20186)

 

NOTE: This is not a certification course. Students will receive VDFP training hours and a National Fire Academy Certificate of Training.
