Course Description:  An active shooter is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and other populated area. In most cases, active shooters use firearms and there is no pattern or method to their selection of victims. Active shooter situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly.

This course has been designed by Fauquier County Fire and Rescue, Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office and the Fauquier County School System.  The eight (8) hour course will provide essential knowledge to enable our first responders to work as a single team with different agencies during these type of incident. 

 

Audience: All Fauquier County Fire and EMS Responders

Date/ Time: July 14, 15 and 16.  0800-1600

Location: Morning Session : FRTC EMS 1 Basement / Afternoon Session: Warrenton Middle School
